Last night, a small group of my friends went to a restaurant called Hunter Gatherer for dinner. I absolutely love the atmosphere in this restaurant- wooden floors, picnic tables, and brick buildings create a rustic vibe. This restaurant also brews its own beer right in its in-house vats.
I started off with a glass of their pale ale while we waited for a table, then ordered an ESB with my dinner. Both were delicious.
For dinner I ordered a chicken gyro which came with a side Greek salad. It was a fresh, hearty, and filling meal. My friend Amber ordered a cheeseburger with crumbled blue cheese and loved it. The menu is essentially your typical pub food minus the grease. Everything tastes fresh and healthy, which is hard to come across at most pubs and breweries. There’s nothing worse than walking out of a restaurant bloated from beer and grease!
Although I have yet to go, Hunter Gatherer also plays live music on Thursday nights with a variety of jazz, alternative, and folk artists. All in all, it is a great restaurant pick for a cozy atmosphere, good beer, and food made with love and care.
